Charlotte Morgan is a Research Officer at the Wales Centre for Public Policy (WCPP), having joined the team as a Research Apprentice in 2022.

Charlotte has worked on a variety of projects for WCPP, particularly within the Centre’s Community Wellbeing and Inequalities priority areas. This includes ongoing research to support public services to understand and address poverty-related stigma, and research into the role of multisector collaboration in supporting community action and wellbeing.

Charlotte recently carried out research with colleagues using Q methodology to examine the perceptions of evidence by policy actors at the local and national level in Wales.

Prior to joining the Centre, Charlotte worked as a Policy and Public Affairs Co-ordinator for British Heart Foundation Cymru where she was involved in policy campaigns, such as Bias and Biology: The Heart Attack Gender Gap. She also has an interest in the medical research landscape in Wales, previously providing secretariat for the Cross Party Group on Medical Research within her role at British Heart Foundation Cymru.

Charlotte holds a MA in Global Challenges: Law, Policy and Practice from Swansea University. Her focus throughout the programme was undertaking research into law and policy in relation to child poverty in Wales. This included the opportunity to undertake a placement with Save the Children who Charlotte worked with to produce a report on child poverty policy avenues in Wales.
